An Introduction to Mediation

Divorce mediation is a confidential, problem-solving process in which a neutral lawyer mediator guides a couple through all necessary decisions and documents needed for a divorce or separation. You and your partner meet together with the mediator to gather information, discuss options, and create your own mutually acceptable agreement for court approval.

Mediation is lower cost and quicker than an adversarial court process while providing professional support to avoid the risks of do-it-yourself. The goal of mediation is to help couples make informed decisions and reach an amicable resolution.

Family Mediation Center provides the help you need to make the best family and financial decisions as you navigate separation and divorce.
